FairlinkID’s mission is to link people and companies from different areas of the world to each other in the shortest possible time, so that they can find each other at any time and interact via their digital business card with the simplest possible communication channels.

2.1. Information provided by you
You provide data to create your account with us.
To create an account, you must provide information, including your name, email address and/or mobile phone number and a password.
You create your profile on FairlinkID (a full profile will help you get the most out of our services)
What information you publish in your profile is up to you. You are not obliged to provide additional information on your profile that goes beyond the minimum required information such as first name, surname and e-mail address. However, such profile information will help you to use our services better. It is your decision whether you enter confidential data in your profile and make it public. Please do not add personal information to your profile that you do not want to be publicly available.
Publish and Upload
We collect your personal information when you provide or upload it to our services.
You are not required to upload personal information, but the ability to expand your network and contact your network through our services is limited in this case.
2.2. Information from others
We receive personal data (including contact details) from you when you send messages (including invitations or contact requests) via our services.
2.3. Use of the services
We log your visits and use of our services, including mobile apps.
We log usage data when you visit or otherwise use our services, including our website and app. We use registration data, cookies, device information and Internet Protocol («IP») addresses to identify you and log your use.
2.4. Cookies and similar technologies
Some cookies are «session cookies.» Such cookies are automatically deleted after the end of your browser session. In contrast, other cookies remain on your terminal device until you delete them yourself. Such cookies help us to recognize you when you return to our website.
With a modern web browser you can monitor, restrict or prevent the setting of cookies. Many web browsers can be configured so that cookies are deleted automatically when you close the program. Deactivating cookies may result in limited functionality of our website.
The setting of cookies, which are necessary for electronic communication processes or the provision of certain functions you require (e.g. shopping basket), is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f DSGVO. As operators of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and smooth provision of our services. If other cookies are set (e.g. for analysis functions), these will be treated separately in this data protection declaration.

We receive data from your devices and networks, including location data.
When you visit or leave our services, we receive both the URL of the website you came from and the website you next navigate to and the time of your visit. We also receive information about your network and device (e.g., your IP address, proxy server, operating system, web browser and add-ons, device ID and features, cookie IDs and/or your ISP or mobile operator). If you access our services from a mobile device, that device will send us information about your location based on your phone settings. We will ask for your consent before using GPS or other tools to determine your exact location.
We will be informed when you communicate through our services.

With our services you can link to other people. Our services help you to stay connected with people, companies and events, to exchange information on a professional platform and to have all information at hand.

Stay in contact
Our services enable you to stay in touch with colleagues, events, companies, customers and other professional contacts. You can «link» with people, events and companies of your choice who would like to «link» with you. You may agree that we may use your exact location or the fact that you are in the vicinity of other people for certain functions (e.g., to suggest other members in your area to whom you can link, or to calculate how to get to a person, company or event).
It is up to you whether you want to invite another person to join our services, send a contact request, or allow another member to link to you.
Our services allow you to collaborate with colleagues, search for potential clients, customers, partners, companies, events and others and to establish business contacts with them. Our services enable you to communicate with other members and to plan and prepare meetings with them.
We may contact you and enable communication between members.
We may contact you by email, telephone, on the FairlinkID App, by messages to your FairlinkID Chat or by other means available through the Services, including text messages (SMS) and push notifications. We also send messages regarding the use of our services, network updates, reminders and promotional messages from us and our affiliates.
Please note that you cannot opt-out of receiving messages related to our services. This includes security and legal notices.
We also enable communication between you and others through our services, including companies, events, groups and messages under contacts.
3.3. Development of our services and research
We develop our services and conduct research.
Development of our services
We use information and feedback from our members to conduct research and development for our services and to provide you and other members with a better, more intuitive and personalized experience, to increase our membership and interaction with our services, to link individuals and companies.
Opinion polls are conducted about our services by us and third parties. You are not required to respond to surveys and can choose what information you wish to share.
3.4. Customer support
We use data to support you and to solve problems.
We use information (possibly including messages from you) to investigate, address and resolve complaints and problems with our services (defects, etc.).
3.5. Insights that do not allow conclusions about your person
We use data to generate insights that do not allow any conclusions about your person.
We use your data to gain insights. However, this information does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person. We may use your information to compile aggregate statistics about our members, their profession, their industry, their behavior and activities at events, or the demographic distribution of visitors to a service or demographic workforce insights.

We use your information (including your communications) for security purposes or to investigate possible fraud or other breaches of our User Agreement and/or any attempt to cause harm to our members, visitors or others.

All information contained in your profile can be seen by third parties.
Your profile is fully visible to all members and customers of our services. Our services allow you to read and share information.
We share your information through our various services and FairlinkID affiliated companies.
4.2. Service provider
We may use the services of third parties to support our services.
We use third party services to assist us in providing our services (for example, maintenance, analysis, testing, payment, fraud detection, marketing and development). These third parties will have access to your information to the extent reasonably necessary to perform the services for us and are required not to disclose or use your information for any other purpose.
4.3. Legal disclosure
It may be necessary to share your information when we believe it is legally required to do so in order to protect your or our rights and safety or that of third parties.
We may need to disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (1) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist governmental law enforcement agencies, to (2) enforce our agreements with you, (3) investigate and defend against claims and allegations made by third parties, (4) protect the security and integrity of our services (for example, by sharing information with companies that are similarly threatened), or (5) enforce rights and protect the rights and safety of FairlinkID, our members, employees and third parties. We try to inform members about legal requirements for their personal information when we believe it is appropriate to do so, unless prohibited by law or court order, or unless the request is an emergency. We may challenge such requests if we believe, in our sole discretion, that the requests are too general or vague, or if the request is not warranted, but we do not undertake to challenge all requests.

5.1. Storage of data
We keep most of your personal information as long as you have an active account on FairlinkID.
Generally, we will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide your services. This includes information that you or others provide to us and information generated or derived from your use of our services. Even if you only use our services if you link to people, companies and events every few years, we will retain your information and your profile will remain active unless you close your account. In some cases, we may retain certain information (e.g., insights into service usage) in a de-personalized or aggregated form.
5.2. Right to access and control your personal data
You can access or delete your personal data. You can choose how your information is collected, used, and shared by allowing you to delete or correct your information.
In relation to data that we hold about you, you can:
Delete data: You can ask us to erase or delete all or some of your personal data (e.g., if it is no longer necessary to provide Services to you).
Change or correct data: You can edit some of your personal data through your account. You can also ask us to change, update or fix your data in certain cases, particularly if it’s inaccurate.
Complaining about or limiting the use of information: You can ask us to stop using all or some of your personal data (e.g., if we have no legal right to keep using it) or to limit our use of it (e.g., if your personal data is inaccurate or unlawfully held).
Right to access or recall your data: You can ask us for a copy of your personal data and can ask for a copy of personal data you provided in machine readable form.

5.3. Account Closure
We keep some of your data even after you close your account.
If you close your account on FairlinkID, your information will generally not be visible to others on our services within 24 hours. In general, we will delete the information in a closed account within 30 days of closing the account, except as stated below.
We will retain your Personal Information after your account is closed if appropriate and necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including requirements from law enforcement agencies), comply with regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, provide security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our User Agreement, and to protect your Personal Information. After your account is closed, we will continue to retain depersonalized information.
Information that you have shared with third parties remains visible after you close your account or delete the information from your own profile. Furthermore, we do not control information that other members have copied from our services.
6. Other important information
We check whether our security is being violated and try to prevent such violations. However, we cannot guarantee the security of the information you provide us. There is no guarantee that data will not be accessed or that it will not be disclosed, altered or destroyed as a result of a breach of our physical, technical and organisational security measures.
6.2. Cross-border data transfer
We store and use your data outside of your country.
We process data both inside and outside Switzerland and use legally provided mechanisms to transfer data lawfully across borders. The countries in which we process data may have different laws that may not provide the same level of protection as the laws in your country.
6.3. Legal basis for the processing
The collection, use and disclosure of the data we have about you is done on a legal basis.
We collect and process personal data about you only if there is a legal basis for doing so. Among other things, the legal basis is your consent.
If we refer to your consent when processing personal data, you are entitled to withdraw or refuse your consent at any time. If we invoke legitimate interests, you are entitled to object to this.
